Sorry, maybe I wasn't making the point well. If you run it all heat and then try to cool in a big bin in a fall with terrible conditions, you are setting yourself up for problems. Better to put half the bushels through the dryer, and spend some more on gas, than to have a big 48'-60' bin or whatever, full of hot corn without the ability to get enough airflow through. Point is, extra 10k for the dryer is a lot cheaper and easier to deal with than 100k of junk in a bin.
