You will find there is more to it then checking it 2 times a day. When you dry higher moisture corn (especially with cooler air temps-higher humidity) you will want to clean the outside screens daily. That can be as simple as brooming them off but can be as extreme as getting the pressure washer out and washing them off as you are running the dryer.
The drying capacity of dryers is in wet bushels dried p/hr. Even then the manufacturers dryer capacity rating must be for ideal conditions. Most (all) dryers will not dry as much corn as they are rated at. Some dryers are worse then others at rated capacity. If you do a search on here about dryer capacity certain models made by Superb really disappointing the farmers that own them. I think the model you are looking at is not one of them.
