Subject: How do I politely tell a friend to not borrow my stuff............

tennessee
I have a friend that has been a friend since we were kids and he helps me from time to time on the farm. He used to help alot but not so much anymore as we're both getting older and I guess he don't feel like it anymore. Anyway, he continuously comes to my house and wants to borrow everything I have.......tractor, tools of all kinds, trailers, service truck, ---you name it. He don't take care of anything and never has, he borrowed my generator and i told him to put it in the dry when he wasn't using it. Well I stopped at his place one rainy day and there it was sitting in his yard. He's not a bad guy and he has helped me through the years and will now if I need him, but this letting me buy everything and him just using it anytime is getting old. Thing is, he has a good job and could buy most of the stuff he gets from me himself. He's talked about buying a small used tractor for about 3 yrs. now and still hasn't. What do you do with someone like this? I don't know............
