  Yep, we have the same problem here for a town just up the road.  Most all the old timers still call it New Braunsfels, not New Braunfels.  Must be something to do with beer and a German background.  I mention "old timers" but the trait has been passed several generations so maybe that's not quite accurate.

But that's ok, we just did what Texans usually do--wrote a country song about it.
