you laugh but chemicals/resins tend to be the reason we don't feed cardboard/paper waste. (most paper has been treated with CaOH so it should make good feed) And tannins are our major concern with feeding sawdust and woody products.
If it weren't for tannins Im afraid the cows would be on a woody based diet.
