Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. We are a family company. This employee has been a good shop employee for many years. He shows up every morning on time for work and takes pride in his work.

It is like losing a member of the family. I've had folks quit before but never had anything like this happen. I remember saying "hi" to him at break time yesterday. He always had a smile on his face. We all feel the loss maybe even more deeply because of the suddeness.

I have been told he was riding with traffic when a vehicle heading the other direction tried to pass some other cars and hit my employee head on.  Details of this tragedy don't seem very important right now. It is my hope this discussion will hopefully avoid even one more accident like this.

I post this to urge both motorists and cyclists to use care so maybe this won't happen to someone else.  I am sure the other driver is feeling the tragedy also.
