They make plugs that are for 12 volts, why not just use one of those to be on the safe side? Sometimes monitors come out of the tractor, so it's a good idea not to take the risk.
Pretty simple to just buy a connector for 12v. Or just put wires direct to the battery with a fuse holder inline.
