| If my numbers are correct the first 3 guesses by counting kernels was 97 and using your weight my number's at 28500 comes out to 98. Maybe I did something wrong? Actually with some small rains in the last 2 weeks my kernel depth has been helped. Did a hand sample yesterday on the mini-gac at 34% and a 57.3 test weight. Certainly not saying we have a great crop, have plenty that will be sub 40. We do have some fields that will be over 100 I hope, depending on how much we leave out there. In a field yesterday that had spots of 70% broken over. I have already been told I am crazy for combining in another week, some will be very suprised with any wind and rain at all in the next month. Going to start on the junk, not going to cost alot to dry 30 bpa at 30% with temps in the 80's. Hours on the meter cost money also, some seem to forget that, Rather run 6mph than under 2 in 30 bpa corn. | |
