My father-in-law was in the hospital last week and went the Dr today and a blood specialist.  We're not sure what's wrong w/ him though cancer and/or liver failure were both mentioned.  My question is if this goes south, and I'm by no means wishing him into the ground, but I need to know what options are availible for my 68 yr old Mother-in-law to continue on as they have nothing, but SS for income and we sold all of their assets a couple yrs ago?
