Subject: Oil and Gas Forum?

Hazelton, Kansas
All,

Does anyone else think a forum on oil and gas issues might be valuable?

There seems to be a great asymmetry in almost all dealings between oil companies and landowners. They are large companies with whole buildings full of full-time lawyers, while we are farmers and ranchers with little or no experience (but we're learning).

There are at least four regions in the US where exploration is "hot," but little or no information exchange among the landowners in the various regions (other than, perhaps NARO).

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think a place to bounce ideas and compare experiences would potentially be very worthwhile.

Thanks.

MDS
