First off, you don't say i hope it stops, cause it can and has. You should say i hope the rain slows down.
Secondly, don't complaine with your mouth full.
I know of churches in some towns that holding special masses for rain.
You are something else. I don't know anything about where you live but you sound like someone not used to crop failures finally experiencing one. I am sure the original poster has experienced more than his fair share.
