I appreciate those of you who post pics of corn gone bad. Now the question.....would the majority of you guys who know your corn can't be good, have you all gone out into your fields and looked at the damage or are some of you just not willing to go look and see if it's as bad as your head is telling you?

The reason I ask, is to me (a non corn grower) some of those pics look good from the road......obviously some pics look really bad from the road but I know as a farmer myself, when my crops are bad, usually after a hail storm, it is hard to bring myself to go and see how bad it really is. Just curious to how you all react to this years situation.

Last question, does the USDA have real people who go around to each state and walk fields guesstimating potential yeild? Thanks guys and hope you all get rain, we up here need some also, your heat has pushed up here to your neighbor.
