I see the colapse of the dollar as a real possibility. Paper currencies that are unbacked do not have a good historical record of surviving for long periods.

I took it the nudge to congress was they can't keep spending more than a trillion dollars that they don't have year after year and expect the Fed to buy the bonds to fund it. But then maybe I didn't understand his position correctly.
