Illinois Steve - 7/9/2012 15:36 I agree that seed beans could be tight but that could be taken care of via some kind of a deal with Monsanto to let guys bin run some seed as long as they pay the tech fee or something like that. Seed corn is another matter entirely. We won't have millions of bushels of it just sitting in bins that could be planted if necessary unlike beans.


Getting seed, from bin run, has been done more then once - by the big M and others, when supply is needed.
I would not be worried about bean seed supply - I would be concerned about quality and the idea you think  you are paying for first yr production, when in fact, you get last yrs production - that likely wasn't needed and is lessor quality?
