To answer your question, generally yes. A 'pitchfork' or ' fork' is a median line set. There are three types of 'forks', Andrews (standard), modified Schiff, and Schiff forks. All are the same in that they use 3 anchor points, but they use math to offset the 'A' point vertically and/or horizontally. In Dr. Andrew's writings , he also encompasses 'A/R' (action - reaction) lines into the class of Median lines - which they are, but are different in some ways. But 'A/R' lines opens up a whole other can of worms really.
