North Central Illinois | So since you have enough in the bank to weather the storm in the event of a crop failure that means you for sure have enough in the bank to build a new house in the event it burns down or gets blown away by a tornado. You probably carry fire and wind insurance on your house though don't you? A growing crop is an asset or investment just like a house. Why would you not protect it. Just because it didn't used to be available or we didn't do it that way in the past doesn't make it a bad decision. Like you say everyone's situation is different. | |
