WY, OK | On the 6.4L's Ford was denying warranty of fuel parts if they opened it up and found red fuel, this stemmed back a few years ago when the red diesel wasn't ULSD yet while clear was, and the 6.4L requires ULSD. Now that it is all ULSD it wouldn't matter but I wouldn't be surprised if Ford still denied a warranty from it mainly from ignorance of the fuels. Ours is exactly the same, fuel delivery guy adds the dye at our location otherwise it is all the same and he won't usually even add any if he just tops the tank off. | |
