Central Illinois | We had any where from .75-.9 tenths from father's day weekend on.... This corn amazes me every morning when i wake up, you look at and think wow how is it looking so green and lush (albeit short). but by 11 am it rolls and looks gravely ill. I still think we can have a good crop, a half inch rain will at least cool the plant and give it some moisture to hold kernals (or an ear..). looking at the longer forecast (probably right), this major heat wave has another 5-7 days. We will know a lot by then... good luck | |
