We drove the JD for a couple days. Nice machine. Had a Ranger before, but then drove a new Ranger. Much better machine. Quieter engine than JD. The seating easily allows for 3 in Ranger. Easier entry-exit from Ranger.

Service & parts would be better for JD for us. Past parts business has been so-so w/Polaris. Polaris already had power steering & tilt-adjustable wheel. The ps is really nice after years of no ps. Had a friend drive the new JD w/ps, he still likes the Ranger's steering.

We chose the Ranger. Price was very close, price not the difference. Demo them side-by-side if you can. These were 2012 models of both machines.
