Subject: Attn. Deere Seeding AMS Group......Time to step up to the plate!!

This situation with Seedstar2 planter software is beyond the point of absurdity. New DB80 planter arrived in November, serial # 4 of MY12, obvious no quality control checks were done because there wasn't any oil in any of the lines. Fought issues with meter drives until we finally tracked down PIP for wiring harness, you think serial #4 would have been tracked down and at least notified sometime between Nov. & March. Continued to fight software issues all spring, planter drives coming on and off, row clutches going offline, vacuum sensors reading 3 & 4 digit values. Finally got upgraded to ver. 13 software and told "we know it's not fixed, but there isn't going to be anything new until next year.". Tried to get reverted back to ver. 10 software but told once you load 13 you can't go back. Fast forward, plant 1600 acres of DC soybeans without issue this summer then suddenly today the gremlins are back, on Sunday no less. Crazy Vac level readings, planter drives coming on and off, don't know what's actually happening because there are full screen error messages populating the entire screen ever time something malfunctions. I want answers, the fact that this issue has continued on a national scale for several months is unexcusable. Matt [email protected]
