Out here in the west, we wouldn't think of having a system without drop nozzles. Our nozzles are 18" above the ground. We are so arid that evaporation would cost us a great deal of water. Most of our systems have low drift nozzles (LDN) on them as well to further prevent water loss. If your going to spend the money to pump the water why not get as much as you can. I know your evaporation would be less because of humidity but why not get as much out of it as you can.
