Dallas, South Dakota | I just bought a Massey/Hesston 2856A round baler this spring. It is one hay eating SOB. I don't care if it says Massey or Hesston on the side of it. I just know it works awesome. I traded my Vermeer 605XL on it and although it was a good baler this one has it beat for eating hay. Im probly not the person to ask though cuz Im really partial to MF. I also have a CaseIH 8870 windrower which was actually made by Hesston. Nice machine too and really a joy to operate. I do believe Hesston had good equipment but I believe Massey will continue that tradition. Also a note on the baler if I woulda wanted the same baler in a green package I could have bought a John Deere because they are for the most part the same baler as years ago John Deere stole the design from Hesston. If you don't believe me do a search on NAT. The only thing is the Massey baler has far more creature features over the John Deere. I know Im gonna hear it on this one but its true. | |
