Eastern, IN | This year I went from the 6.6 Duramax down to the 6L gas. You will miss the power! This summer I bought my brother a Ford 6.0 Power Stroke......what a dog compared to the Duramax. The point is, you should try to compare the Durmax to the 6.0 because they aren't and will never be the same.
I went back to a gasser because I was sick of trying to get diesel when I needed it and even then finding a clean nozzle handle was a bear. I am happy with the 6L Chevy but still miss the diesel power.
FYI: I feel that the new gas motor is down shifting all the time when I pull a trailer. I don't think it is because of the motor, I think it is because of the 6 speed auto transmission. I am just trying to warn you, get used to downshifting!
