There are hybrids called shorties due to the pedigree. Your hybrids aren't.
That looks perfect to me. I want all the plant I can get and manage the residue.
The shorties don't work for me but maybe you would be happier with them?
I don't think the shorties will beat your yields but you won't know until you try them.
