I've applied it for 25 years and like it as a nitrogen source. It can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing, but really is mostly common sense. If the Coop's equipment is in good shape you should be fine. Use gloves and goggles and have some water nearby.
Lastly if you're scared of it, try to hire it done as some others have mentioned. It's not worth the stress if you are really scared of something.
