NW IOWA | Sorry!!!!! My family secret, because I feel it's the best there is and a lot of people agree!!!!
But here is one that is close.
Cooked custard ice cream- 4 qt batch
5 cups whole milk
5 or 6 eggs
1.5 cups sugar
1/8 cup flour
dash of salt
cook over medium heat
until it starts thickening
cool
add 1 qt 1/2 & 1/2
1/2pt whipping cream
vanilla to taste-1T
finish filling can with whole milk and freeze
