Subject: RE: "City-boy" Agribusiness Major Needs Info About Agriculture

Wallis, TX
I worked with many young people in Ghana that had 'Agric Engineering' degrees but no practical knowledge, they were useless on our project. They didn't have a clue as to what was going on.

You have stated you need the practical knowledge, and that is true. The only way to get it is to work on a farm, get your hands dirty and see what it is all about. The more farms, the more farmers and the more crops you work with the better. I don't mean to sound rude but I've seen too many people waste there time in college thinking they were learning what they needed. College is not all about learning from a book, its more about learning how to learn. The knowledge you seek is not in a book.

Good luck, and I mean that sincerely, on your education. Shoot me an e-mail, I may even know of a summer job in SE TX.
