I have never been a fan of buying when a company has an IPO. When a company has all the hype that went into promoting facebook's IPO, then its even more likely that the buyers are going to pay for the privilige of losing a few bucks. I think it has value, but its probably over-priced til they figure out how to maximize advertising revenue and that may take a while.
