Michigan. | The RSA is a perfect example of the matter.
The Govt. controls the reserves and parks.
All else is privately owned. Every single critter has a price tag and an owner.
Poachers must steal personal property in order to poach, and risk becoming another anonymous mound of dirt on the Veldt.
Owners of Game have to maintain a healthy and productive balance within thier herds, as over grazing will wipe out all of thier future revenues.
Everywhere else in Africa the game is all Govt. owned. Poachers steal from the crown that keeps them poor.
Overgrazing cattle has turned the countryside into a moonscape that devoid of vegetation in too many areas and nothing lives.
When they need animals for thier govt. reserves, they call South Africa where the critters can still be found.
Public property is nobodys property, and is treated as such everywhere.
