Sounds like the brothers are interested in more than money. Meet with them and see what they have in mind. Might take a few meetings and an outside consultant to help set up a good transition plan. You need to start soon, as if you have wheat, seeding is only a few months away. Maybe you could just work as an employee the first year to see how you all get along. Maybe they could rent you a farm or two also and let you use the equipment for free. Then, you can buy them out over a period of a few years. They could put the land in trust with a stipulation that it could not be developed. That's not always a good plan, though as situations change, and you could end up locked inside a city and the trust could be paying outrageous property taxes.
