I've used the wired systems for several smaller dogs when I lived with my parents and they do work good. How did you go about burying the wire. If I recall it needs to be about two-three inches deep. I always thought that a planter row unit would be perfect if I could find a way to pull it behind the four wheeler or lawn mower.
