Our state department of ag also sent out a "voluntary" pesticide usage survey, says in the letter (Secretary of Agriculture) they want to see if pesticides are good uses of our money. Wanted to know about all chemicals used on our farm, even rat and mouse bait. That survey said they might come out to the farm to get information, if they did not get the survey back. None of that is any of their business. If they bother me any more about those "voluntary" surveys, I will have to tell them that there is already too much mandatory records to keep, and I do not have time to waste on their voluntary surveys.
