I don't know why congress is talking so much about college loan rates, it is cheaper to go to the local bank and get a loan.
you can not get a bank loan for college. the federal goverment now has a monopoly on student loans. i have heard of people applying for a dozen credit cards, taking the max cash advance for tuition. when they can't get enough cash to may the miminum, just file for bankruptcy. free degree. can't reposess that.
