Driftless SW Wisconsin

I am a fan of charcoal and that's been all we have had for many years.  However I recently purchased a nice Weber gas grill and I doubt I will use the charcoal much more.

In addition to the speed to heat up and no lighter fluid taste, the thing a gas grill gives you is control. This Weber has a searing station and when I light it it gets very hot quickly, sear the beef on both sides then turn the sear off and the other burners down and get the center of the burgers or steak cooked just the way I want it.

With charcoal it is much more difficult to control the heat level.  Now end up using the gas grill much more frequently than if it was charcoal. No experience with electric. This Weber has a burner on the side for a pot. I can see doing a lot of cooking on this rather than on the kitchen stove over the warm months.

Good luck.
