You better get on top of it fast or you will have a dead one. The only ones that have done good for me is the ones that I got the core of the old navel out of the wound. It will stay necrotic in there and even if the draining seems to go away it is still causing problems. My vet trimmed one out for me once and fixed it so it would drain well. I would flush it out with peroxide too.
