Southern Saskatchewan | Would definately have the bull checked out because it sounds like maybe a penis injury or someother problem-please don't go into next year without an answer. There is no issue with those numbers. The thing I would consider is a new FIL! Sorry I just have a hard time when family don't stand beside family. I may be the jerk of the thread but he should stand behind his bull. Or was this a "deal" of a bull to start with,where then you would have to lump it and go on. 7 cows for the purchase of one bull is a tough way to make money reguardless if they were all bred. I look after 15 cows for a friend and we are co-owners in a bull which works good. When he only had 6 I just charged him a bull charge per cow. Money maker for me? No but it enabled him to get his foot in the door. Renting a bull or sharing a bull with someone with different breeding dates is great. Yes I know that opens up a whole new can of worms but it is possible. Just throwing options out there. | |
