Nw iowa | all he had to breed was the seven cows. i have a father in law who sells bulls and keeps three or four yearlings and sells his 4 and 5 year olds. he was semen tested and passed. he was out there for i believe 90 days around there anyway the cows were in excellent shape. the weather was warmer this summer than normal but you think a yearling should be able to breed 7 cows even if the weather is playing hell on them. he should have had them bred the first time they cycled not much of an excuse to me. we are going to semen test him again in the next couple weeks and see how he comes out. hopefully he passes because i dont what will happen if he doesn't because i know he was a retest we give them two tries to pass. it might be a battle with my father in law if he does not pass on how to settle this up. i try and take good care of what i have since it is rented and always had fresh grass to turn them on to once a week in my rotation. thanks for all the replies | |
