West Kentucky
Conditions were almost identical to this in 2007. People started planting around 3/20 that year. Corn was easily up in 7 days because soil temps were well in excess of 60 degrees. Long term forecast was excellent so people pulled the trigger. Around first week of april that year, the low was around 14 degrees and everyone got to replant all corn planted before 3/27. Ground temperature was 34 degrees 2 inches deep on April 10th. This is still fresh on everyones mind here so no one has started yet even though we tend to be in an area that generally starts on the earlier side. We typically start the last few days of march.
