IL safety lane test is 6 months, which is just to get more revenue IMO.
Federal testing is once a year, and is overall, a much much more lenient test.
I'm not sure if Tom does federal testing or not, would have to call and ask him. Everything on wheels (semi/graintruck/my duramax even) is federal tested. Think its $60 for the federal test.
