| Cuba never closed to tourists, the US closed on Cuba. Cuba welcomes tourists from all over the world to some of the best beaches and resorts in the Caribbean. For political reasons, the US does not permit its citizens to travel to Cuba, or import any goods produced in Cuba (e.g. rum, cigars). As I understand it, US citizens can travel to Cuba via Canada. I assume that Cuba passport control and customs do not stamp US passports upon enter/exit. I have flown over it a few times heading to Jamaica and it has an abundance of farmland in production. | |
