Chebanse, IL..... | We have a 4830. If conditions (terrain, load, soil conditions) allow, we normally run in 2nd gear, but throttled back to give the speed I want. That way when I turn on the end, I can just push the hydro lever all the way fwd & return to same speed. Power is normally not an issue for me.
Edit!! I do not recommend this practice of less than full throttle to anyone else. I believe it is against the law & you may be incarcerated for an indefinite period of time if caught reducing power in lieu of ground speed.
I wish the 4830 type sprayer had either field cruise, or better yet, Itech to allow all those things to be done by setup vs being done mechanically after a turn.
