western iowa,by Denison
We need to realize that a few simple changes on imports can change are outcome-silly to not think that south america can lower our meat price overnite -they have twice as many cows as the USA. Currently they can sell canned goods, but a lot of politics going on to open it-isnt JBS packers from there orignally-Doesnt there family own 1 million cows?we only had 660,000 cow numbers down in the south's drought-1/2 are probably in the north states.
Would also think with the skin in the game we are dealing with cowmen that are the best in the business-when heifers cost $500 where not as concerned with 97% calf crop as they simple could make some mistakes and still show a profit-Today with $1500 heifers your going to need every calf, that alone will throw a bigger calf crop.
