Subject: Re: deals gone bad

Pittstown, NJ
That Cessna incident reminds me of an older gent back in the mid 90s who had a 1964 Ford pickup that he decided he didn't want anymore. He put it in the classifieds for $1000 and got a few calls on it, but after they looked, thought he might be selling too cheap, so refused all offers. So then out by the road with a For Sale sign it went, $1500 or BO. Got a couple offers for $1200, thought maybe he could get a few more, so refused them. Back in the barn it went. The next year, he advertized it in the local trading paper for $2000 or BO. Got a few offers but again, thought after the fact, he could get more. So out by the road it went again with the For Sale sign, $2200 or BO. No bites. So back in the barn it went. Said he'd hold onto it for a couple more years, it'd surely go up in value. Over the next few years it sporadically came out to be advertized, and each time, offers refused or no takers. After he passed in 2004, the truck sold in the estate sale for $800 . . . .
