Subject: How deep to plant double crop beans?

Kansas
Planning on some beans after wheat harvest to be done with planter in 30 inch rows. I'm wondering if it would be better to put them 1.5-2 inches to make sure they get the moisture they will need, or would it be better to plant 1 inch to get growing quicker? Can beans handle being planted 2 inches? Beans we planted several weeks ago with drill that were planted deeper came up better than what did after we took it out one notch on the depth setting, so that's why I think deeper the better.
