| I was pall bearer for a neighbor who was buried in a rural cemetary that did not require a vault. 3 guys on each side lowered the casket into the ground with straps. Saved the cost of the vault and the vault guy's services.
Personally, I would at minimum go with a "cheap" basic concrete vault. Down the road someday that casket is likely going to cave in and leave a depression in the ground above that needs to be filled in.
IMO, cremation with no viewing would be the most economical option. | |
