Can't argue with ya about the beurocratic crap involved in the disaster programs. I'm saying wouldn't it make more sense to let farmers pay whatever then need to for insurance, not eliminate insurance, and if the gov is that bad at the disaster payments maybe they would get their act together and do a more efficient job of it. I think everyone could affort to pay 2-3 times as much on insurance. I wouldn't like it either, but that's the thing about gov handouts, it's hard to tell someone they can't get them anymore after they have been getting them. Rents and land prices can be adjusted if they need to be.
