| I understand what you are saying Ryan, but check this out. I live in a county in Illinois that has prided itself on never having had a crop failure. (Yes, I know I am very fortunate to farm "here".) This county can no longer lay claim to this. Because of crop insurance rules, I have now seen productive farms lay idle in our county because a deadline was reached for prevented planting.
Isn't it AMAZING that in our days of tracked tractors/combines and and high floatation/low pressure radial tires, our generation of farmers would be the first to suffer crop failures ? (I replanted beans after this date and got a crop because I don't happen to use crop insurance)
I'm not sure what my point is other than the irony of it. | |
