SE MN | Had a 2008 Silverado work truck with one of these cords; after plugging it in one morning the truck left me stranded. Dealer said was because of factory block heater, was a TSB or something on it; had something to do with the coolant temp sensor readings VS the outside temp and the computer not processing properly. The dealer replaced the block heater cord and reprogrammed the computer. I never plugged it in after that and never had an issue with starting when cold, even on E85; same with the 2011 GMC Sierra I am driving now. | |
