2011 chevy with factory block heater. Heater didn't work this am. ?? -8 below. Find out the cord has a temperature device in the end that won't let it work until below 0 for 4 hours. What a joke. Can I cut off the sensor and just put a regular cord end on the supply cord to the heater. tia
