Mendota illinois
When you put into a gear, high pressure oil locks the clutch pack in gear and seats the check balls. I'm not sure but I believe the turning of the flywheel forces oil into the clutch pack creating enough drag to make the tractor want to move. Been away from a JD dealership to remember specific details. Sorry about that. Have a good day.
